GDX Automotive is today a partner for our global customers. In North America, a strong manufacturing base in Canada and the United States was enhanced in 2005 with the acquisition of SaarGummi operations in Magog, Quebec and Guadalajara Mexico.
In Europe, GDX will right-size operations to reflect the current business
climate to include further restructuring of current manufacturing to strengthen
exisiting centers of excellence. At the same time, we will expand operations
around our current production team in the Czech Republic and launch new
operations in Eastern Europe.
GDX-Wanyuan, Beijing China
In Asia, GDX celebrates in 2006 a decade of success of Beijing Wanyuan-GDX Automotive Vehicle Sealing Products Co. Ltd. in the China market. The China business now has locations in both Beijing and Changchun and is the leading partner for Volkswagen in China. GDX has also successfully launched a joint venture with Fuyao Glass Industries Group to provide glass encapsulation products in the China market. GDX Automotive-Fuyao Glass Systems Co. Ltd. is now operating in 2 locations: Changchun and Shanghai.
